Whatever garbage printer's output is can't be eligible for copyright in most countries either way because it wasn't printed by a person, and therefore there's no conflict with GPLv2, "provenance" doesn't matter when the code itself has no copyright attached to it either, the four freedoms are still there with such code and if it's a big deal you can study that code and re-implement it.

You'd have a better argument if you simply said the code is trash and no responsible project would allow it in their codebase, but so is many code written by real people and nothing's done about it.

True, GuixSD instead gets stuck for two years with broken and old packages that nobody will fix out of fear of triggering too many rebuilds, the lack of maintainers on Guix gives far more work than Arch.

I've daily driven Guix for six months and I got used to trying to install a package that turned out to segfault at startup or it was too old or built with missing features, this was exceptionally annoying with ffmpeg which lacked libsvtav1, something I use regularly.

I also use Debian on a server as a QEMU hypervisor where I run VMs for some stuff, but my main uses Void and Gentoo and I surely wouldn't trade either for anything else. That being said, I'm pretty sure Void is great for server shenanigans, some Raspberry I have runs on that and it's arguably the best thing you can install on a RPI.

Most ISPs will handcuff routers behind PPPoE and then refuse to disclose the credentials so you can replace them with something that isn't shit.
