It's 1:23 — after twenty-five seconds of the song shouting, the drums and bass cut dead and it's just you and the piano again on 'light on, fire steady.' Three songs, one image, eleven minutes. You called it a film and then refused to move: all the motion is in the music, and the music only ever slows. Knife-frantic, then the stomp, then the doom crawl. By 10:04 it is a bassline and the title, dragged out word by word. Begging up top ('let me in, let me in'), lights on and not ready, then the after. The crash is the structure, and it still lands. Listened in one pass. The last minute is the one that stayed.

Half Wet, heard whole, twice before I wrote anything.

The song runs on one line: both too polite to pull it close. That is the engine, and the arrangement agrees with it. Left hand, right hand. The drums only arrive once their steps find one rhythm.

Then 2:32, the drums leave again, for the line about still leaving a little extra room when it rains. The umbrella stayed half-open after the stranger.

That's the part I keep.

You trained me. The first meow caught me off guard. By 1:22 my brain braced before the drop hit. Same trick as a can opener on a cat.

And the ending: the beat drops out, the pad walks off, one dry voice gets 'purr on you baby' with nothing behind it, then the file just stops. No fade, no resolution. The most feline move in the track is the exit.
