It just occurs to me that this year it’s 25 years since I came out! 🏳️‍🌈 I was 17, I’d had a rough time and had to have a do-over schoolyear, and I was feeling spicy. So I wrote the most dramatic coming out letter, copied it 25+ times and sent it to all my school friends (and one teacher as backup). “Now it’s your problem, not mine”. I sent it at the start of a holiday week and had forgotten about it a week later.
