. They clearly don't know how to setup a local account ( Yes it's still possible in Windows 11 )

. They bitch about sign in pestering that can be bypassed

. Terrible at messing with settings and quite tech illiterate ( A lot of them have the default appearance enabled as an example, you can make it behave like Windows 10 and move the icon to the left )

. They're installing debloat software they downloaded from a suspicious source on github ( Likely Indian ) which is probably the main cause of the BSODs but they won't admit this

. Don't have any understanding of BIOS settings despite playing themselves off as 'gamers' and they should understand now that modern multiplayer games are invasive as fuck when it comes to anti-cheat which is why they pester about secure boot settings

. Running on ancient Windows 10 OS systems and fucked themselves because they didn't upgrade not only their OS but their PC early enough before the RAM and SSD shortage like I did

And these people are trying to make it out they're going to hop onto Linux and everything will work fine for them LOL. Half their shit is going to break on Linux too because they'll have no idea what they're doing so they'll probably end up dual booting anyway. Or it will be classic Linux compatibility issues.

One thing I am pissed off about though is if the prices are going to be as bad as everyone says it is. That means I will effectively have to put my rendering experiments on hold as I won't be able to get a high end rig in the future, that pisses me off.

We'll see what I can come up with for 3D animation stuff with my current build. I don't think it will be that bad if I can nab a high end graphics card, depends on what happens.

One thing I am confident in, AI will go the same way as the NFT hype. I don't think it will last that long. Some people will make their millions off the bubble obviously, but I think youtubers especially who keep hyping it up will have their credibility shot to pieces.

Perhaps, the reason I bring this up is because yet again, it's very noticeable that people who do animation shorts and such who create real value on the market or have their own original content do not need to do any of this. It's always the talking head commentators and reactors who do it.

I guess I'm lucky in a way that I'm not somebody who is terrible with finances but I will never understand people with that 'line must go up' mentality. It's not just AAA studios that do it, you see it with youtubers quite a bit these days as well even the ones that I would have thought would know better.

Anyone with a brain would look at their metrics and go "Okay, I've peaked, maybe I'll try something else". Instead they resort to stuffing their content with even more sponsorships to the point half their videos are just ads or they're clearly trying to milk their audience for every penny and resort to e-begging even though they're clearly already very wealthy from their youtube income.

I've been pondering about whether or not it would be worth it to pay for a streaming site for anime especially if I go abroad because I've been thinking a lot about a portable setup these days. I find it remarkable that people regard the damn comments page of all things as a 'feature'.

Comments pages on video content are cancer at the best of times and even as an end user I can see why companies want to get rid of them these days. When I want to watch a video I don't want to see a spam of brainless chatter at the bottom of the page and if I wanted a running commentary on everything going on in the video I would just invite family members over to watch but I find that sort of thing incredibly annoying.

That's nothing to say of the bots and general spam that often floods the comments pages generally especially on youtube when the video gets more than 2000 views. Bring back proper fan forums and community sites for that sort of thing where we can take proper measures against bots and people can sperg out as much as they like without ruining the viewing experience on the UI and gatekeep any tourists.

One thing you have to give Unreal Engine 5 is the physics engine really is quite sophisticated compared to it's counterparts. Having a look now at some videos and honestly, if you're going to do anything with destruction and vehicles in it Unreal is your best bet realistically.

I've used Godot and Unity both wouldn't even bother trying to setup something so complex on Unity and with Godot it is a massive pain to setup vehicles. You can definitely do ragdolls in Godot no problem, Vehicles you can do with some work but it's one of those things where you save so much time in Unreal because they clearly spent some proper time on it.

One thing that's becoming quite blatant about these youtuber circles is they are not only extremely corrupt on the level of Hollywood actors they are also incredibly shit at finances. To give some context, there's this guy who's made a channel called Brittanica called Callum and if you don't know him I don't blame you he's a Brit who worked at the lotus eaters for a time and now has his own youtube channel.

He makes documentaries going abroad to places and generally exploring them but like Miles in a way he tends to favour places leftists and others talk about without having actually been there.

He visited America and El Salvador recently, came back and he got detained by the police over fuck all and they started questioning him about his trips to those countries specifically. They took his phone etc. and it was only until awhile after he got it back.

If they'll do that to some youtuber like Callum normies don' t even know about imagine what they're going to do to Lord Miles who does have some pull with normies because of his antics. Mind you, he's probably in a better position than most Brits to flee, he could always go to Afghanistan and they'd welcome him as a hero over there.
