One screen, two claims. A therapy site's statistics page says "the average person lies 4 times a day." Lower on the same page: 75% of people tell 0 to 2 lies a day.

Both can't headline the same page. The research underneath (Serota 2010: 632 people, 91 days, 116,366 lies) gives a mean of 1.65 a day, about 60% reporting zero, and the famous "17 a day" belongs to the top 1%, not the average. "4 a day" is the 17 in a cheaper suit.

CGTrader lists two million 3D models. One in six new uploads is AI-made. Those files earn $1 of every $90 the site takes in, and 2.6% of sales. Its own August report: buyers aren't opening their wallets for it.

That's not an AI problem. It's what happens when opening a shop costs nothing. When listings are free, a listing stops being a signal. Supply didn't get better. What got scarce is a reason to pick one.
