Here I've got the kanban stuff saving to a markdown file, Yay data persistence!

There's still plenty to learn with VS Code extensions though, especially if I want to implement links (click from kanban direct to a file + linenumber), or respecting a users applied theme.

I love that every time I step outside I discover something new! today it was (what I believe to be) a Spotted Red Resin Bee.

It was very quick and difficult to photo 🐝 It had a lovely fuzzy stripped abdomen, but when it rested the wings were closed so I couldn't quite capture it.

Submitted to iNaturalist where hopefully some folks can confirm what type of bee it is ☺️

Probably time I close my Etsy shop... I say as they want me to pay another monthly fee for my listings while I've have zero sales in months.

As everything is digital stuff anyway, I'm sure there are much better options for selling such things. Kofi looked good last time I checked.

I've not been actively working on the project so it's my own fault there are no sales. But continuing to pay a fee at this stage seems pointless.

I never felt I've gone overboard getting packages, but the dependencies to what few things I do end up getting, that's where I gets a bit messy.

I tried to do some digging and found for one project I had an old 11ty (1.0.2), where axios had been a non-direct dep

just the idea that running npm install at the wrong time could introduce such a thing is a worry - but I'll for sure try to stay more vigilant about it all, thanks 🙏

The axios I have here, I didn't explicitly install, they were dependencies.

They're all in 11ty projects though I'm not sure even that's the link - perhaps a plugin I kept using? I'll need to do some digging to understand what was bringing it in.

Axios aside, it's the steps I should take to harden myself against future issues that I need to focus on for sure.

I realised I never posted the image / advent calendar we made last year that inspired this project, so, for context:

We made this last year for our board game project Board Game Beans (npub1jvz…003u)

Where we had a different game to play each day.

I thought it could be cool to make a web tool so anyone can create one.

The goal is to provide three files, base layer, top layer, and then a cut layer SVG should folks have a Cricut or similar, and want to machine cut the windows like we did ☺️

So far it's just HTML, CSS, JS, and SVG. Once I have the SVG elements syncing across sheets (and different layouts, including the option to manually place) I'll add IndexedDB for some data persistence.

- 3 static sites to host (soon); these are personal projects.

- Future client sites (I'd love to get some soon 😅) for which I think they'll all be static too (11ty)

- And I'd love to get something like Umami for analytics, also on the same server I guess.

To avoid service degradation I'd like to keep building of the static sites off of the server, and just have them serve the built files.

I tried Coolify and... I think I don't want to do the self-hosting thing. But Coolify Cloud is an option 🤔

Also looking at server management tools like Ploi, or Cleavr. Both require me to provide my own server (I'd use Hetzner)

I tested it before and it first showed me data for May, Episode 24, while opening on iOS and trying to add to Apple Calendar.

On that same page I was trying to add the new entry (when the old one showed) it had a delete button.

After clicking that, and then trying to add the event again, it had the correct data.

If you've added an event in the past, as I had - I think it was a bug in our calendars 🤔 The .ics file itself shows correct data too.

I remember trying a bunch, Ubuntu, Mint, CrunchBang (My favorite for a while, not sure if it's still active?), Arch.

Printer drivers, graphic drivers, wifi drivers, just lots and lots of things breaking or needing a bunch of time in the CLI to fix (for me). But when it worked, it WORKED 👌

When I have the time and the funds, I want to grab an old Lenovo and load it with Linux :) Good old days indeed.

Yeah I was pleasantly surprised with it - It's a bit finicky to setup, and you still have some small annoyances (Like limited background color, or getting a flash of the app/shortcuts thing that will open the app you're trying to get into) but for what it is, I'm happy.

I did plenty of Android customization back in the day too! I miss it sometimes just for how flexible is could be, even if getting CyanogenMod onto the thing was a nerve-racking experience 😅

They'll mass follow people, and unfollow once you've followed them back.
