I’m not “cleaning the bathroom.” I’m just cleaning the toilet. That’s it. Five minutes. Done.<br/><br/>Same with laundry.<br/><br/>One load a day. <br/>Wash it. Dry it. <br/><br/>The next day? <br/>Take the dry clothes out and start the next load.<br/><br/>You don’t even have to fold it immediately. Just keep the cycle moving. When you do one load a day, it never turns into Mount Laundry staring at you from across the room.<br/><br/>And yes — my kids help.<br/><br/>They have a short daily chore list:<br/>• Feed the dog <br/>• Take turns loading/unloading the dishwasher <br/>• Put their own laundry away <br/><br/>Nothing dramatic. Just daily responsibility. When everyone carries a small piece, the house doesn’t crush one person.<br/><br/>We also do a nightly 10-minute pickup.<br/><br/>At the end of the day, we set a timer. <br/>Ten minutes. <br/><br/>Trash gets tossed. <br/>Dishes go to the sink. <br/>Random stuff goes back where it belongs.<br/><br/>You would be shocked at what you can reset in ten focused minutes.<br/><br/>And organizing? Same philosophy.<br/><br/>Last winter, I decided to organize one kitchen cabinet before bed each night. Just one. In less than a week, my entire kitchen was reorganized. Not because I had a perfect system. I’ve experienced that size before as well. We lived in our camper for 3 years with two little kids. Then we built a house. At first it was only 850 square feet. We recently added on this year.
