Inks I'm currently using in my pens!

Imperial Purple, Kon-Peki, and Tsutsuji are my three favs, and are ALWAYS in a pen.

I just found out today that Sailor is discontinuing a lot of inks, so I'll probably need to find similar colors to replace the Sailor inks once my bottles are empty.

Fall has wound down here in Germany, and it feels like winter, but back in October we took a trip to Cochem, and it wasn't as vibrant as growing up on the US East Coast, but it was lovely seeing a bit of color along with the rolling hills and castles.

Clouds rolling across the The Stoos Valley plateau in Switzerland.

The clouds came from the north and in minutes you couldn't see five feet in front of you.

It was like a dark blight from a fantasy novel swallowing the world while the light fought and failed to stop it.

It rained all 7 days I was in Switzerland last week, with multiple days where I was literally in the clouds and couldn't see a thing (it felt like being on a plane).

A year ago I was on my way to California to visit me sister. After three weeks with her I did a road trip. One of the best stops was seeing Yosemite during the winter.

We are supposed to get flurries which stinks cause I love snow and want ALL the snow.

This is the furthest north we have lived, and yet if I want to see snow I have to head 3hrs south to Alps.

No Halloween here in Germany, but if you are in Europe and find yourself needing spooky vibes all you have to do is visit a medieval city at night.

They have such a weird mix of creepiness and beauty.

Gorgeous to look at but at any moment some supernatural creature could come for you.

Sure there is a 2,000 year old roman bath house, and sure they film exterior shots of Bridgeton there... but I geeked out cause Jane Austen lived there and I totally spent time rereading Pride and Prejudice while relaxing in a cafe!

I've had more access to the Alps than any other mountains in my life and they are for sure my favorite mountains, but the Sierra Nevadas are a close second.

There's just something special about sunrises and sunsets in the Sierra Nevadas.

Edinburgh Castle.

I'm not sure how the city is in the spring, but it was so broody in fall. It and Prague have been the moodiest cities I've seen so far in Europe. Like I could easily see vampires living in both.

Tunnels ruins below the old Roman bath house in Trier.

I think what was most surprising about the Roman ruins we saw was that... some weren't ruined. Some are still used today and those that were ruined were mostly ruined by war or people scavenging to use the stones for other buildings.

Trier was super cool and seeing Roman ruins (and not-ruins) was really amazing. We are both excited to see more.
