At the time, I would play it on OS/2 Warp.

I've now been on Linux for ~26 years. Does the new game work well on Linux? Or would I be forced to install Windows first? I have zero interest in installing Windows.

Last question: Does it have great music from George Alistair Sanger aka The Fat Man? I still have T7G audio as .mp3 in my music collection. I think that was an audio track on CD #2 from the original box set. #T7G

My oldest recently traded in her 2005 car for a newer model at the dealership. I wondered why the dealership would want to do a trade for such an old car.

Then it clicked -- it takes older cars off the market, making them harder to find, and over time pushes people to buy newer cars from the dealerships.

The car ran great, even at 21 years old. She could have gotten money for it, and someone could have had a starter car. But the dealership offered $2K for it, so it was difficult to turn down.

They're not doing it out of the goodness of their heart. They're effectively shrinking the market of available used vehicles.

For the Y2K, we weren't allowed to change any of the original code running on the AS/400. That code was always off-limit, and had existed since the 1970s as far as I know.

We created an intermediate tool that would look at transactions going into and out of the database.

When data was coming out, we'd convert the dates to 4-digit years. Then when data was going in, we'd convert 4-digit years back to 2-digit years.

I have no idea if 26 years later that is still in place. I suspect so. But the thought that banks will authorize AI and "vibe coding" to magically replace all this off-limit code running on the back end is hard to believe.

"Swasticars" is one of the funniest things I've read in a while now.

Quickly followed by the fact that sales of these vehicles is dropping like a stone.

I would love to drive an electric car. But I don't want one made by a company owned by a Nazi, or to support a Nazi and his coup in any way.

I'll wait for Aptera, or a Canadian alternative.

I see in the news that the search for yet another planet beyond Neptune's orbit continues.

If or when they find another planet, my suggestion is they call it Pluto. Really mess with people and science books.
