One fact however I wish to point out hoping that this can help other developers: the two Samourai developers have been playing smart-asses with Govt, made announcements, sought visibility, which is exactly the opposite of what you should do. Even if they are right and did technically nothing illegal, you should be smart enough to understand that when you step out of the line on issues like "privacy-state money and power" and disrupt the "status-quo" of powers, regardless of whether you are within legal bounds or not, they will get you and make you pay one way or another. The point is, they acted stupid. Why do you think Satoshi disappeared knowing that other who tried to mess up the "money-state-power" paradigm have been jailed before? My advice is the same for any privacy tool developers, here on #nostr or in #bitcoin or #monero: keep under the radar, use pseudonyms, be uncompromisingly anonymous, do not show your face. And if you are not today think about disappearing officially for a while from the scene to get back later under a solid anonymous cover. In such "strategic areas" you never know if something which is legal today becomes illegal tomorrow and they will "retroactively" come and get you. I notice that people have developed an insensitivity to issues which would have caused a global outcry only 20-30 years ago and would have been stopped. It is not a failure of #bitcoin nor a technical failure per se. It is likely the combination of several complex factors: (i) all infrastructure is systematically destroyed by Israel bombings. Internet connections are very much disrupted and obviously targeted by Israel. (ii) on the other side Hamas has certainly available satellite internet connections which they use for their own military purposes and I doubt they are made available to the population at large (iii) certainly Israelis are also targeting known wallets belonging to Gazans and pressure exchanges to blacklist them which makes the conversion into stablecoins or cash into bank accounts outside Gaza also impossible (iv) what is left is Lightning or Monero if they are accepted and considering the limitations of internet connection availability, but generally even considering the very harsh conditions over there it should be possible to use effectively both Lightning and Monero as some have pointed out in this chat. Thanks good to know. One note about full disk encryption with Ubuntu which you mentioned in past posts. I have recently reinstalled my OS and I wanted to go for full encryption from the installation. But after trying it I went back to normal installation and I use of Veracrypt to encrypt relevant directories. The reason is that I found the login process into the encrypted disk totally user UN-friendly. At boot Ubuntu asks immediately for the encryption password in a small window without giving the option to see the typing nor if there are caps locks or other potential problems with the keyboard which can make difficult to type a more complicated password with capital letters and signs. Ubuntu shall add the option to view also the encryption password. But thanks anyway for the suggestions about Veracrypt and pico.

• Our mistake in Ukraine was waiting too long. Delay created the illusion of weakness. That must not be repeated.

Critical thinkers are almost exhausted, but Wall Street’s smart money will come next, not for freedom but for profit. 1. The ratio of M0 to M3 is now almost 12x (3 trillion to 35 trillion). This excessive leverage is a sign of brewing troubles in the banking sector (hour 0:33)
2. The US Federal Reserve share of US debt (monetization) was 30% at the high of the Covid in 2022 and is now down to 16%, but also the share of foreign holders is down to only 23%. So who is going to buy US debt??? Currently the buyers are American investors/funds at about 60% (hour 0:41), and of course the growing strategic role of #stablecoin issuers.
The only way forward is for the Fed to monetize this debt or for the US to implement the #bitcoindollar system. Either way it will be good for #bitcoin.

1. Social glue is dissolving.
Trust is gone. Shared values are rare. Social capital — the stuff that holds society together — is collapsing.
2. Digital tribalism is real.
Filter bubbles, identity politics, and algorithm-driven echo chambers have split society into hostile camps. Online war is spilling into real life.

I made the mistake of getting the bluecheck and giving the details of a credit card since Twitter does not accept any other means of payments nor PayPal. After 2 weeks they locked me out of my account with no way for me to get back in nor to terminate the subscription. And they stole another 2 months from my card. Now I had to cancel the card as if it was stolen. Thieves. see yourselves

China, like a martial artist, uses the dollar against the U.S. By issuing billions in dollar-denominated bonds to its BRICS, SCO, and BRI partners, China drains global dollars and channels them into local infrastructure projects. Dollars in the Global South are safer with China, which won't arbitrarily seize funds. These dollars can be reinvested into productive infrastructure, benefiting local economies, rather than into speculative instruments like U.S. stocks, real estate, or debt. What an irony for the fading hegemon.

Trump's tariffs war is accelerating the escape from US Treasuries as the reserve asset of the world. There will be an inevitable global confluence on a neutral reserve asset. And #bitcoin is the only option for reasons I explain in my book. The world has lost trust in the US. If Trump wants to attract foreign money back into US debt and retain partially the "exorbitant privilege", the only chance is to issue bitcoin backed Treasuries.
