Don’t you think that everyone, every human being should be able to access food, shelter and hygiene? That whole countries, whole peoples should never be sent to such states of deprivation as #Palestine?

Why are you not storming your city halls, governments and parliaments?

It’s been 2.5 years of sleeping on the ground and skipping meals.

There has been a very impressive sandstorm in Khan Yunis #Gaza #Palestine today. The photos are beautiful, but everyone is scared to go out, or to breathe unhealthy air. This is very rare, it only happens once every few years. I hope it doesn’t last for long.

With the war in Iran, Israel closed the Rafah crossing again, which caused panic buying in Gaza. Now markets have empty stalls.

It’s the 19th day of Ramadan. In #Gaza #Palestine, most people are fasting during the day, and only eating at night.

Today, I was extremely hungry, it was a pleasure to finally break the fast! But food is scarce.

With the war in Iran and the strain on Israel, we’re already seeing the markets in Gaza emptying out and the food prices rising.

There’s a tradition in #Palestine: volunteers called Mesaharati walk the city to wake people up, so that nobody misses Suhoor.

This morning, the local Mesaharati were very enthusiastic: they were calling out and banging their drums loudly. They woke everyone up immediately. 😅

How are you?
This is the second day of #Ramadan in #Gaza.

The fast itself starts every day at the first light of day (and it ends at sunset). It coincides with one of the five daily prayers, Fajr. Before Fajr, we eat a morning meal called Suhoor. My family always wakes up and eats this meal all together. It’s lovely.

Ramadan is a very communal experience. Everyone supports each other and is in a good mood.

Christmas is the Christian celebration of the birth of a Jewish Palestinian child who was born in rubble because his parents were left with nothing. He was born thanks to the generosity of good shepherds.

Christmas is approaching. There are some Christians in Gaza. Their churches, among the oldest in the world, were reduced to rubble by the army. Palestinian Christians are the most ancient community of Christians in the world. They too suffer a lot in this war. They mostly live in the Zaytun neighbourhood of Gaza. They say “Nushkur Allah” instead of “Alhamd Lilah”.

This is great for you to gauge the prices of items. An apple doesn't cost neither 10 cents nor 10 dollars. Prices on the website are about twice as high as on the market

However I recommend you contact Palestinians directly instead:

• Fees are high. With the sum of money you spend, I could buy twice the amount of food from a market.

• Delivery can be inconvenient.

There are very persistent electricity shortages and power cuts for many years, exacerbated by blockades and damage to infrastructure. For households and businesses, switching to solar often reduces the cost compared to running diesel generators or paying for unpredictable grid electricity.

Gaza is blessed with a lot of sunshine throughout the year and altogether a nice Mediterranean climate. It’s a very sunny place, so it makes a lot of sense to use solar energy here.
