If you are just going to run a fridge and a few lights, you don&#39;t need a huge one. We have a Briggs and Stratton 6250/8000 watt one and ran two freezers, a fridge and some small appliances and weren&#39;t even using half the potential power. <br/><br/>Figure up what the total wattage draw is for what you plan to use it to run and go from there. Or, spring for more than you need and be better prepared if you end up needing more. <br/><br/>Also keep in mind that the more wattage you draw, the more fuel it will use. And speaking of fuel, think about what will work best for you. They are dual-fuel ones that will run on Propane or Gasoline.
