It's interesting to see buildings that you don't normally have access to, but it's a shame when buildings start falling down and cant be repaired.
We have so many in the UK, it's a shame more aren't able to be reused.
Sometimes it's due to restrictions because the buildings are "listed", and this puts people off because it can be a nightmare to get planning permission to change things.

I get the reason for it, but at the same time, I'm sure we're losing old buildings that could have been saved 😕

I was really looking for a replacement for Reddit, as I never liked the twitter format (not enough characters), so should have tried #Lemmy instead, but I've been on Mastodon for a year now, and only just joined a Lemmy instance (I failed at trying to install my own).

It takes a while to find people on here to follow, but it's worth it.

Never tried the Bluesky or Threads, but I don't want to because people can't run them themselves, although I know that's not a particularly good reason for everyone 😝

Before then I'd tried an early Slackware and I didn't get very far.

I've not used one for worms, but I shred paper for rabbit bedding when we have it (eventually it will be composted!). I bought a second hand one cheaply and it is good. Note - get one that has a decent rating - # of sheets they can cope with is of course on a good day and when all of the pages are completely flat - no creases. Each crease is equivalent of another layer.
We had a 3 sheets shredder and it could only really cope with 1 sheet if it wasn't completely flat :(

The one I have now is rated for 18 sheets, so I don't really need to care how flat everything is. It's great for the brown paper that delivery companies use to pack parcels - rip it into 2m sections, fold it 2 or 3 times and then feed it through 😀
