Interesting. I'm also considering a switch to Linux in the near future. I'm still content with MacOS at the moment, but I don't like the way things are going in the US and US Big tech. I'm still hesitating though, because I'm afraid Linux will give me frustrations because of the tech-oriented nature (having to use the terminal to install certain things, etc.). In my Commodore days I was a techie, but these days I'm a lazy old chap who just wants things to work easily. 😉

A photo from 1992. I was an Amiga game developer, sitting in a bored pose on my cheap garden-chair. 😁

On the left is my Amiga 2000 keyboard and a box of diskettes. On my fridge door are stickers of Psygnosis and Rainbow Arts, game publishers we visited in the UK and Germany.

On top of the fridge is a print of my game over picture for one of our games, and on the wall is a screenshot composition of our game Hoi in Amiga Action magazine.

🧵 In 1992, my two dev partners and I made the first "advergame" in the Netherlands, for a 75-second national TV commercial.

This is my 16-color isometric background.

In the commercial, a boy jumps into the game to get a Calvé peanut-butter jar for his girlfriend.

Subsequently, the game was played by kids in a Dutch TV show called Telekids. Those who completed the game won their height in stacked Calvé peanut-butter jars. 🙂
