Yes, she was there for the first time.<br/><br/>(Just a quick spoiler for those who didn&#39;t read my lightly-drunk posts Saturday morning : I was the one, at 4am in the morning, &#34;forcing&#34; the two ladies to leave - *I* was the one who said &#34;we are going *now*!!&#34;)<br/><br/>(Another nice spoiler: it was all good and I had tons of fun, but at 3:55, I went outside, for fresh air, and when I tried to get back, I stumbled ... and that was the moment Max and I looked at each other and I said &#34;Max, I think it is time I went home&#34; and he agreed, and also agreed that I should then take the &#34;other ladies&#34; with me then - not because they behaved badly, just because we came together - lovely chap, Max - I mean, I really, really, really like Max)<br/><br/>So, yeah, we had soooo much fun: the places filled up after a while, they started playing amazing music, my wife couldn&#39;t (or rather: wouldn&#39;t) stop dancing - with whomever she wanted, because, well ... that&#39;s the thing at Prosecco Bar: people are all nice and considerate, there is never any feeling of discomfort.<br/><br/>There are signs everywhere making it clear to every single patron: &#34;Only &#39;Yes&#39; means &#39;Yes&#39; - and if you feel uncomfortable, immediately contact any of our staff!&#34; - and you know what? Every. Single. Person. I ever met here adheres to the &#34;Only &#39;Yes&#39; means yes!&#34; - everybody comes here to have fun, to dance, to flirt - you have all genders and non-genders here. Everybody flirts with whoever they think they like, dances. But it is also absolutely ok to just sit around and watch, nobody bothers anybody. Yes, they may ask you to dance, but if you say &#34;no&#34;, it is fine, absolutely, no problems ever.<br/><br/>I danced with many people, same for my wife, same for J--.<br/><br/>There was this amazing man, &#34;M--&#34;, and we all, my wife, J-- and I, agreed that this man is really beautiful - not cute, not pretty, just absolutely beautiful. And we danced with him, all of us (and yes, I told him that we think he is beautiful - cute, yes; pretty, yes; but that&#39;s not beautiful. He told me that he just separated from his GF with whom he has a child.<br/><br/>When I asked him what he is doing here, in a queer bar, what he is looking for, he said &#34;I dunno, I guess I am looking for a girlfriend&#34; - Here? In a queer bar? As a cis het man? - &#34;Well, I guess, I really don&#39;t know&#34; - But do you know who you are? - &#34;Umm, good question. I guess I don&#39;t know that either.&#34; - Well, I guess, my dear M--, it is time you found out who you are, and then you might know what you are looking for. - &#34;😳&#34; - but let&#39;s have fun until then, no worries, you are safe here. - <br/><br/>And yes, we had fun.<br/><br/>I think it really helped J-- to overcome her sadness (you know, also questioning herself, her worth) to see how many people were &#34;interested&#34; in her - as a human, as a woman, as a person.<br/><br/>And my wife? Well, she had a horrible day on Saturday, but mainly because all three of us suffered because, well, we had a few Sarti Spritz too many, but most likely because we didn&#39;t drink enough water. <br/><br/>But my wife is now an absolute fan of Prosecco Bar. She loved it and she confirmed that this is, for her, the first place ever where she felt really, really safe as a woman in such a small and crowded place.<br/><br/>Oh, and BTW, my wife even convinced the door man next door, at &#34;Goldener Reiter&#34; (a wonderful rave/techno/house club) to go in without paying and have a look around. My wife also had a shot with the DJ at Prosecco Bar who usually doesn&#39;t do these things - I am always surprised what my wife can achieve with her charm...<br/><br/>Yeah, it really was a magical night, and if you are queer or you are OK with queer spaces and want a safe place to dance, party, feel weirdly at home, then Prosecco Bar (Friday/Saturday, I haven&#39;t checked out the other days) is your place.<br/><br/>But be warned:<br/>1. Because, after this last chance, she finally realized HERSELF what an asshole that guy is and why he wanted to come back.<br/><br/>When I asked her what she thinks why he wanted to try again, she thought about it a while before answering: &#34;You know, I don&#39;t think he came back and wanted to try again because he loves me. I think, he came back and told me that he wants to try again because he was afraid what the alternative is: losing all the safety that I guess I was providing, that our home was providing. He didn&#39;t want to come back for me, he wanted it because he is afraid of losing all this safety and the things he is used to.&#34; - well done, my friend, well done!
