Comfort food: fish fingers and curry chickpea salad in tortilla wraps

I‘ve made this salad in wraps several times already but never with fish fingers - and also not with these peculiar mini corn tortillas that came all the way from Mexico. I believe that unlike the other (big) wraps I normally buy these really needed to be fried to be fully cooked. They tasted good and made the whole thing slightly different to eat which sometimes changes a meal completely and makes you feel like you are eating something new.

Schnitzels, yes, but made from sliced aubergines, a coleslaw made from fennel and rice with furikake. This actually wasn’t meant to become so Japanese but I was too lazy to make the planned potatoes, rice is just so much easier. In the end I thought I made the right call, especially once I got the Bulldog sauce and Kewpie mayonnaise out 😇😋

That sounds interesting. Also the comment about black salt. I’ve got some, bought on a whim, and didn’t quite know what to use it for. I’ve tried it but I expected a stronger taste, it’s not that much different to my normal salt. I’ll have to experiment with it. ☺️
