Let&#39;s go?<br/><br/>Nee, dit is een stap achteruit. Het is onpraktisch en absurd. Maar dit is wel exact hoe sociale media en messaging apps op dit moment werken.<br/><br/>Niet alleen is het onmogelijk voor iedereen om met gelijk wie te communiceren en te verbinden via eenzelfde gesloten platform, de organisaties achter deze platformen hebben ook de macht om mensen buiten te sluiten en de informatie die verspreid wordt via hun platform weer te geven op een manier die hen het beste uitkomt.<br/><br/>En als ik wordt verbannen wordt van zo&#39;n gesloten platform, verlies ik alle inhoud die ik creëerde en alle verbindingen die ik maakte via dit platform. Deze gegevens waren in feite nooit van mij. Ik kan ook niet zomaar veranderen van gesloten platform naar een ander platform en mijn sociale inhoud en verbindingen met mij meenemen.<br/><br/>Mensen zijn zich al lang bewust van deze problemen en zijn al lang op zoek naar oplossingen.<br/><br/>Zo heb je bijvoorbeeld het Fediverse dat een netwerk creëert van open, maar nog steeds gecentraliseerde, platformen die samenwerken en gegevens met elkaar uitwisselen.<br/><br/>Of het Nostr-protocol, een nieuwe speler in dit veld, dat voor het eerst een volledig gedecentraliseerd sociaal netwerk mogelijk maakt.<br/><br/>Dit betekent dat het sociaal netwerk volledig losstaat van het platform dat gebruikt wordt om het te benaderen. Ik kan dus heel gemakkelijk van platform veranderen zonder dat ik hierbij mijn sociale inhoud of de verbindingen die ik maakte verlies.
