I for one don't understand how the circles feature is supposed to work. I don't think it existed when I started using Friendica years ago, this was one of my goals for the holidays was to play with it more and update the documentation.

I'd recommend looking through the instances on lemmyverse.net and picking from their based on your own criteria. Even better if you can find a way to leverage whatever they are doing to be part of the "create lemmy account" you put in your app. 😀
