Super Heroes – Comics
In Belgium and France, we have a very traditional way of making comics — or strips in Dutch. This style is known as Franco-Belgian comics, and I bet everyone knows at least a few: Tintin, Asterix, The Smurfs, Lucky Luke… classics.
Why am I writing about this? Because I just got my new passport, and it’s completely themed around travel with these comic characters! When I picked it up this morning, I instantly fell in love with it — and yes, even some of my favorite characters made it inside.
The fun part is that it’s not just pretty; it’s also practical. Themed pages can actually prevent fraud, and some even light up under a special lamp.
Travel, art, and a touch of childhood nostalgia, all in one document.
