@nprofile…44dh someone please enlighten me on this - iiuc copyfail needs local code exec to get root perm, but if you have local code exec, likely copyfail is just one of many possibilities. Why the rage about copyfail then? Sure, it is consistent, and bad, but sounds more a newsflash thing than something outstanding?

@nprofile…4x5t an internet connection might be nice, but for start a Kiwix dump should be a good start, isn't it? Also some Linux install DVDs with packages on them (they used to do this). And educating people how to swap data using hard drives. Acts as a natural filter of what actually is important, vs getting endless shit dumped on you.

@nprofile…e5g0 @nprofile…q7zp @nprofile…5a92 it is certainly good to bootstrap you with relevant terminology and source pointers. At one point it might be beneficial to switch to research papers etc. Out of curiosity, what is your method of knowing when to switch / look outside?

@nprofile…e5g0 @nprofile…5a92 well, it is recombining what was in the training set in new ways, possibly up to the point you don't recognize them as fragments of the originals. The effect can and will contain made up alike stuff.
Fun exercise, take some topic you are deeply familiar with, and start drilling it on some hard corners of it. Sooner or later it goes off rails and produce mistake you wouldn't normally find in the wild.
