I will let any volunteer grow where they want.
For tomatoes if im growing them intentionally I can get the cheap enough from flea markets and feed stores that ill go out of my way to get them.
Last year I grew no tomatoes. This year i've got ~18 plants of 4 different varieties. I'm not sure its truly worth it but it keeps the pita old woman I care after from whining about "too much meat not enough vegetables" 🙄
I like things like chard, sweet potato greens, sorrel/dock, wild brassicas.. basically anything that is kinda weedy and will "just grow"
