There’s a qualitative difference in propaganda between America and the U.K.
In America the propaganda is bombastic and loud and stupefying and stirs the emotions to a heightened passion of one state or another. Usually fear/anger.
In Britain the propaganda is this lulling, insipid, tranquil hum of isn’t this quaint? Aren’t we civilized? Why is there any reason to change anything? Trust the plan. Keep calm and carry on. England will always be here just the way you know and love.
I’m not making a value judgement on which is worse, just observing the difference.
But if I had to say I think the English version might be worse because it sedates rather than agitates. It’s hard to fight something that feels like a warm blanket.
quotingI had many “illegal” conversations with locals in the U.K.

Many get it, many still asleep.
There’s hope for sure, but the jury is still out on what the future holds for England 🏴
