At a high school graduation today, taking to a few students afraid (more like pissed) of AI taking all the jobs, I raised this simple exercise:
Use AI to create a new joke that will make your friends laugh. That's it. Just try it.
Yes, AI can write anything better and faster than any of us. But making it write to the context you need, with the quality you require is the new job.
Software has never been about how fast/well you can write. It was always about how well can you discover product requirements and translate them into working code. Writting was just the annoying thing everyone had to do until now.
