Simply because he also highlights the good and great things he has done for Bitcoin over a long time horizon.
Bitcoin's adversarial culture is embodied in the way nodes operate. Every node assumes other nodes may be wrong or dishonest and independently verifies every block. Eventually, every node will reject another node's invalid block.
