When I trip on acid I can listen to music with my eyes closed for +10 hours and still want more.
Two things happen for me in that state that are absolutely incredible:
I acquire synthesia so that I literally feel the music (bass lines feel like electricity traveling along parts of my nervous system)
I see these full on movies in my head that are these absolutely insane, bombastic, extraordinary visions that I wish I could somehow capture in a meaningful way.
This is why I love to trip on +5 hr flights, as I can just lock into my seat jamming out, oblivious to the fact that I’m 40,000 feet up hurtling through the air at 550 mph. Also looking out the window is amazing.
