nah, oil is abiotic... carbon is in the core of the planet, how else could it get here at all, and it's illogical that it would not be hydrocarbons, thus actually a large part of the process of planet formation would necessarily require heat and combustion-type reactions where CHO joins into - the simplest thing is obviously oil and gas

the idea that carbon came from nowhere is the basis of the anti-oil rhetoric and it's absurd, it's like 5th or 8th or something most common element in the universe

crust rotating because of crazy levels of opposing magnetic flux from the galactic current sheet, the decline of the earth's magnetic field coherence with the rotational pole, all are in evidence right now, this last 30 years you can find many stories about how animals are migrating to the wrong places, airports are relabeling runways, and all kinds of problems with satellites and aviation in general, and to a lesser extent, seaborne transport, which has just become less important aside from bulk shipping

anyhow, that's just the two main points i wanted to bring up... carbon and magnetic fields. the fields are normally no big deal, just a slight deviation in the ambient magnetic fields around us but every time the current sheet ripple goes through the 180, it just doesn't make sense that this would not have mechanical impacts, since it has epic electrical ones, and electricity is really just a form of stored kinetic energy
