Dollar General lowered its sales and profit forecast for the year due to disappointing sales, partly attributed to low-income shoppers feeling financially constrained. The company is continuing its turnaround plan, but same-store sales are now expected to rise 1% to 1.6%, down from 2% to 2.7% previously forecasted.
