Perhaps I was young and naive, but I believed in the basic premise of capitalism. What we have today is not what I thought capitalism was.

I did well for myself contributing to that machine, during a time that felt like it was enhancing a system that had users' best interests in mind.

I even have an advanced degree related to the field.

But as it turns out, the system in place today is designed to shaft everyone except shareholders. But they're next once the middle class is depleted.
