rawmesh-node is my small off-grid mesh node project running Reticulum on a solar-powered Raspberry Pi 4 in rural Portugal. It bridges TCP and LoRa links and serves a minimal NomadNet site from the node itself.
Reticulum is a cryptography-based mesh networking stack for building resilient, censorship-resistant networks over mixed links like LoRa, radio or plain IP.
The site is intentionally very raw and low-noise: a tiny retro-style Micron page, no ads, no tracking, just text.
Long term I’m also interested in experimenting with Nostr over Reticulum as a transport, so the same public-key social layer could ride over these off-grid links as well.
A lot of the inspiration for this comes from people like Gigi (npub1der…xzpc) — whose *21 Lessons* shaped how I think about Bitcoin, time and low-noise signals — and calle (npub12rv…85vg) , whose work on Cashu and ecash shows what honest, privacy-focused engineering can look like on top of Bitcoin’s open base layer.
