I saw it when I established a nonprofit. There are many people who want help but assume that the mechanism for providing it is magic beans and unicorn farts. It's exhausting. I liquified my savings and retirement to provide cars to women and funding the overhead for the organization. It was a painful financial lesson I refuse to repeat.
