Picking one that turns out to be dodgy is visibly worse; but what would this guy be doing as headline speaker on 'the future of cyber security' even if he were squeaky clean?
Especially when it's not exactly like there are no people with both technical chops and a sense of humor; it just seems distastefully unserious whenever one of these events grabs a tenuously related person.
If you want to make a junket out of it just hold the event near an entertainment venue or something.
