That’s a feature, not a bug.
The root issue is that a follow graph is a weak proxy for trust. A follow can mean “I trust you,” “you’re interesting,” or “I followed you in 2023 and forgot.” It’s binary, persistent, and one-directional.
There is no concept of “accepting” a friend request and therefor has no boundaries just as the public square should be.
The martyrs gather over there.. the plebs over here.. the red circle boys over there..
It’s an open source noisy place but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
