My 2011 f150 has 218k miles and I intend to keep it forever. Eventually it'll get a new 6r80 and a new 3.5. Because it CAN. We replaced our 10 year old high tech Samsung front load washer with a new but old school whirlpool washer last year when it went bad.
I keep hoping someone will make a simple car again, with the most robust parts from models that already exist, with nothing more high tech than power windows/locks, Bluetooth and a backup camera. No apps, or giant tablets in the dash. Just a daily driver with proven, durable and efficient REPLACEABLE parts. They'll DOMINATE the car market for years without changing a thing or creating "new gens." The brand loyalty that would create would last for generations and be worth hundreds of billions.
