Ooooh, story time.
I grew up in a very conservative home. Mom and I churched three times-a-week at a minimum. I was "filled with the fire of the holy ghost!" from a very young age.
It was a long, steady movement towards a more humanistic view and as an adult in my late forties I couldn't be further away from my religious roots.
This has directly impacted my view of politics and people in general. It's been a ride.
