Last Saturday, I ran the Vuurtorentrail on the island of Ameland. As expected, it was another tough edition with lots of loose sand, dunes, beach, and wading through water and mud.

My body was basically done with it after 25km, but my ego wasn't :-). So I battled through it and eventually made it to the finish line.
It was the first time in ages that I felt like I had thoroughly earned that medal.
