I would definitely put Noam Chomsky in that category.
But let's also realize that smart men don't shit where they eat and if your customer is the University then diversity is the goal and diversity is by definition not a good word as it is sold for embracing mediocrity. Mediocrity is the greatest way to pay the bills on the backs of the working poor who fund the University (universally).
It is a rabbit hole of filling in the pot holes with pot heads. There's a razors edge.
Men who never fail, never achieve and men who haven't succeeded haven't failed enough.
There are certainly plenty of men who are good at observing other men's behaviors.
I personally follow the locus of achieving and not worrying about whether other men appreciate my work. I don't care as I'm stacking skills and skills can always stack sats.
