Us creates a group beyond reproach, their actions are correct justified and moral without question allowing any action to be justified without question.

Them creates a group that has no value, no morals, the most evil and immoral actions can be taken against a 'them' without judgement or concern. Them is worthless and disposable.

It is the oldest ugliest most dangerous politics and the most effective.
