no. There are studies that prove learning is coupled to writing. And even for those "I'm a visual learner so I don't have to take notes" people. Cursive still is extremely useful and necessary. I'm grateful we are so old fashioned here...
Something I observed with my university students. The laptop and no note taking fraction did less well in exams than the hand writing note taking kids (anecdotal evidence only).
