Not everyone has that innate drive, but in a hypothetical world of abundance I see no harm in letting worthless people be worthless and contribute nothing. If they can be content to live a basic life on UBI then let them. Those with a desire to accomplish something will continue to contribute to the advancement of technology and the arts.
