My (Canadian) instance's admin just used the official maintenance channel to declare that all Americans, whether MAGA, antifa, elderly, young, disabled, whatever, can go fuck themselves.
People ask me why I use Bluesky more than Mastodon. In the past, I've said it's because people on Mastodon are by and large mostly snooty Linux users who just want to tell you you're using the wrong software. In short, because 'Mastodon users are assholes'.
