🇹🇼 #Taiwan: Taiwan plans to increase its anti-ship missile arsenal to more than 1,800 missiles by 2029 as part of efforts to strengthen its ability to counter a potential Chinese blockade or invasion.
The move comes after Taiwan's opposition-controlled parliament approved an additional $25 billion in defence spending last month, much of it intended for US-supplied munitions. Taiwan's anti-ship arsenal is centered around Harpoon and Hsiung Feng missiles, while a new Littoral Combat Command is set to be established on July 1st to coordinate coastal radars, missile units, and drones.
