This is probably just the autism in me, but every time I see this sign on the bridge, I don’t know how to interpret "beyond" gate.



Like, clearly I know not to stand UNDER the gate, but which side is considered "beyond" since both sides of the sign say the same thing?



I assume they mean the side closest to the end of the bridge, but I still get trapped in a logic loop whenever I see it.



Luckily, I've never been on that bridge when the bell has decided to ring; otherwise, I'd probably just jump into the water.
