Two years ago I missed a few bulbs of garlic when I harvested. I didn't think much about it. Last year life intervened, no annual veggies were planted, and I didn't give the garlic patch any thought.
Today I looked off the end of the deck to see an 8 foot row of garlic! 😅 It looks healthy albeit overcrowded. It was a nice surprise. I'll get out there and thin it soon.
