Intellectually I realize that Google Talk using XMPP was a big deal but personally I never experienced it like that. In the late aughts, during the peak of Google Talk, I had ~1 contact on it. My other contacts were all using regular Jabber servers.
You can stay here. Nobody forces you to migrate to #Threads. And if 1 or 2 interesting people are on Threads and I can follow them from here that’s good, no?
