I guess this is an unpopular opinion, but I thought Project Hail Mary was predominantly tiresome. When I started watching the film, I didn’t know what to expect, but I didn’t expect a lighthearted, nervous, unconvincing semi-comedy in Space that kept dragging on, and felt like it was aimed at youngsters. As a consequence, I wasn’t involved in the story, and I didn’t feel sympathy for the characters. So I started fast-forwarding in the second half, and was relieved it was over. There, I’ve said it.
