I can imagine that the large steps, also language wise feel uncomfortable, perhaps disrespectful. The latter is not intended, the playing rules for science and design are different.

The process I am trying to maintain is big steps, outline requirements, outline strategies, rinse and repeat. (I see some possibilities.)
