i never want to see workers earning less than the poverty line
The US system is appalling
So, my thoughts on tipping are complex as I never want to see an employer argue that because employees get tips, they should not get a payrise. I never want the tax office to assume that people get tips
Having said that, if someone does something special, then I tip if I can afford to
