I'm not sure about the other person, but I sure did. Personally, I haven't had any issues with Btrfs, and there's always Ext4 if you don't like that. Bcachefs seems like it's (for better or worse) going to end up like Reiser4/5 fs.
You also have to remember that Kent refused to follow the kernel development rules. Not once, but many times.
Still, I wish Linus and other kernel developers would stop promoting drama in the LKML.
