not to rain on anyone's parade, but imagine if we could have governments simply ban the offending materials that simply go directly to landfill and instead use technology that already exists that is biodegradable? We have it, but it probably costs 1 cent more per unit so it won't be used unless we actual force them to do it. Any additional cost will predictably be passed on to the consumer.
