There's been much discussion of the UK's debt to GDP ration & what it might mean for the Govt's ability to borrow more & how this fits with Rachel Reeves' (new/revised) fiscal rules.
So, here is a chart of Public Debt to GDP for a wide range of countries, arranged by the percentage.
I'm not arguing there is a particular threshold over which it becomes unsustainable, nor that a lower debt/GDP ratio os necessarily good... but just wanted to share this graphic of the range of levels.
